CHAT SOS at Bernie Grant: 300 Young Performers Take the Stage

What an unforgettable moment for our Streetz Ahead family.
This month, over 300 children came together for the very first time at Bernie Grant Arts Centre to perform the routines they have spent the last six months rehearsing, developing and perfecting. The energy backstage, the excitement in the audience and the pride on every performer’s face made CHAT SOS one of our most special showcases to date.
Our performers prepared an exciting story about a world ruled by a device that controls everyday life. When the technology suddenly shuts down, chaos erupts — and the children must relearn how to live, create, and work together without it. Their journey to find Optix, the mysterious creator, uncovers surprises, secrets, and the power of independence. A high-energy, inspiring performance full of movement, humour, and imagination — perfect for the whole family.
For many of the children, this was more than just a performance. It was a chance to build confidence, develop discipline, make friendships and experience what it feels like to be part of something bigger than themselves.

A huge highlight of the evening was the incredible contribution from our PAC Performing Arts Club, who connected the performances through their acting linking pieces.
Their performances added emotion, storytelling and personality to the showcase, creating a seamless and engaging experience for the audience from beginning to end.
