Streetz Ahead in the Wild – Woodrow

Streetz Ahead Outdoor Education Weekend at Woodrow High House 🏡

Earlier this month, Streetz Ahead took 45 young people aged 11 to 16 on a life-changing residential weekend to the beautiful Woodrow High House in Buckinghamshire. Over three packed days, our young people had the chance to step outside their comfort zones, make new friends, and try exciting outdoor activities that many had never experienced before.

From high ropes and the leap of faith to archery, scavenger hunts and challenge assault courses, every moment was an opportunity to build confidence, resilience, and teamwork. In the evenings, the energy didn’t drop – the group enjoyed campfires, a lively disco, and what can only be described as the biggest water fight ever. Hide and seek games and fantastic food added even more fun to the unforgettable experience.

For many, this was their first time away from home, and the weekend gave them a real sense of independence. It was heartwarming to see young people grow in confidence, support one another through challenges, and form friendships that will last well beyond the trip.

A huge thank you to the staff and volunteers who made this weekend possible – and to the young people who brought their full selves, their laughter, and their courage. We’re proud of every single one of you.
