GOATs Take the Stage at Mind in Haringey’s Fundraising Dinner!
On March 27, 2025, Streetz Ahead’s elite dance team, GOATs, had the incredible opportunity to perform at the Mind in Haringey fundraising dinner in support of the Mayor of Haringey. The event, held at the London Cultural Alevi Centre & Cemevi, was a beautiful evening dedicated to raising awareness and funds for mental health services in the community.
With a room full of supporters, local entertainers, and community leaders, GOATs brought their signature energy to the stage—not just once, but twice! As a handpicked group from the many schools we work with, this was only the second time GOATs had performed as a team, making the night even more special.
Dance, Community & Mental Health
The evening was a blend of inspiring speeches, live performances, and a delicious buffet dinner, but Streetz Ahead made sure it wasn’t just a night of sitting down and watching—it was a night of getting up and moving! After showcasing two of their dynamic dance routines, GOATs took things to the next level by leading an interactive dance tutorial for the audience.
Guests of all ages were invited to join in, proving that dance is for everyone—no experience required! It was amazing to see attendees stepping out of their comfort zones, grooving along, and embracing the connection between movement and mental wellbeing. Dance has always been a powerful way to boost mood, relieve stress, and express emotions, and this was the perfect setting to share that message.
A Night to Remember
One of the highlights of the evening was when GOATs performed to Michael Jackson’s “Pretty Young Thing”, with live accompaniment from Pan Nation’s steel pan band, who played the same song right after. The fusion of dance and live music created an unforgettable moment, filling the room with electric energy.
For some of our young dancers, this night was particularly special as it was the first time their family had ever seen them perform live. Seeing them shine on stage, with their friends and family cheering them on, was a proud moment for our entire team.
Mind in Haringey has been a vital part of the community for over 35 years, providing essential mental health support to thousands of people each year. Being part of such a meaningful event was an honour, and we are proud to have contributed through the power of dance.
A huge thank you to Mind in Haringey for inviting us, to the Mayor of Haringey for hosting, and to everyone who attended and supported such an important cause.
GOATs are only just getting started—watch this space for their next big performance!
