An Autumn Adventure at Richard House Children’s Hospice

On Tuesday 29th October, the Streetz Ahead team brought seasonal fun and creativity to Richard House Children’s Hospice with an exciting Autumn Scavenger Hunt. It was a day filled with exploration, imagination, and inclusive play, bringing smiles to new faces and familiar friends alike.

We began the day by warmly greeting guests—catching up with returning families and introducing ourselves to those joining us for the first time. As the room buzzed with excitement, the day kicked off with a range of engaging activities, delivered in a Round Robin format to ensure everyone could take part at their own pace.

Activities Included:

  • Arts & Crafts: The children and families tapped into their creativity, making autumn-inspired art to celebrate the season.
  • Shadow Puppetry: We introduced the magic of shadows, encouraging participants to experiment with storytelling through light and silhouettes.
  • Creating Shadow Puppets: Using craft materials, the children created their very own shadow puppets, bringing their imagination to life and learning a new creative skill.

With a focus on Play Therapy and Inclusive Practice, we created a safe and welcoming space where everyone could enjoy, connect, and express themselves freely.

The day concluded on a sweet note with a Trick or Treat Challenge! Each child was rewarded for their participation, enthusiasm, and creativity—ending the day with big smiles and well-earned treats.

At Streetz Ahead, we’re dedicated to providing joyful, inclusive activities that foster creativity and connection. Events like these remind us of the power of play, imagination, and community.

A huge thank you to Richard House for hosting us once again and to all the wonderful participants who made the day so special. We can’t wait to return for more adventures! 🍂✨
