On Thursday, 5th December 2024, the Streetz Ahead team proudly attended the Haringey Community Showcase and Awards Ceremony at Tottenham Town Hall. This inspiring event celebrated the achievements of local voluntary and community organisations, and we were thrilled to be honoured with the Children and Young People Award!

Winning this award is a reflection of our unwavering commitment to empowering young people through dance, mentorship, and creativity. It was a proud and emotional moment for the entire team, and we are so grateful to have our work recognised in the community we love and serve.

The event was a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new partners. We had the chance to catch up with individuals we’ve worked with previously and explore potential future collaborations with others who were excited to learn about Streetz Ahead’s programmes.

🌟 Award Achievement
Taking home the Children and Young People Award was the highlight of our day! It was an incredible moment to stand alongside other inspiring organisations, celebrating the positive changes being made inHaringey. We even had the chance to snap some photos with the Mayor of Haringey and other community leaders, capturing the spirit of the day.

🌟 Showcasing Streetz Ahead
Despite the late notice, we secured a space to showcase our work with the help of event organisers. Our team came fully prepared with promotional materials, ensuring we could engage with attendees and share our passion for dance and youth mentorship.

The event was more than just an awards ceremony; it was a celebration of community and collaboration. It highlighted the importance of organisations like ours working together to create opportunities, uplift young people, and make a lasting impact.
