Streetz Ahead Inspires at Haringey’s Global Entrepreneurship Week ✨

On Friday 15th November 2024, the Streetz Ahead team had the pleasure of attending Haringey’s Global Entrepreneurship Week — a fantastic event celebrating the spirit of innovation, creativity, and community. The event, hosted in collaboration with Haringey Council, Capital City College Group, The Network of Creatives, and Made By Tottenham, provided a valuable platform for local businesses, creatives, and aspiring entrepreneurs to connect, collaborate, and share ideas.

Celebrating Local Creativity and Entrepreneurship

The day was packed with opportunities to network, discover local talent, and learn about the wealth of resources available to businesses and start-ups in Haringey. Attendees had the chance to engage with local pop-up stalls, meet Haringey Council representatives, and attend insightful workshops designed to help businesses grow and thrive.

Streetz Ahead proudly set up a stall to showcase the amazing work we do within the community, from empowering young people through dance and creativity to our BASE mentoring programmes. It was a brilliant opportunity to spread the word about our initiatives and connect with like-minded organisations and individuals passionate about supporting local youth.

A Special Performance to Close the Event

One of the highlights of the day was our Streetz Ahead dance teachers taking to the stage to close the event with an energetic and inspiring performance. Their talent and enthusiasm brought smiles to the crowd and were a true reflection of our mission: using dance as a tool for expression, confidence, and connection.

The showcase left a lasting impression, demonstrating the power of creativity to unite and inspire. We are so proud to have ended the event on such a high note!

Familiar Faces in the Crowd

While networking, we were thrilled to spot two of our Dance Giants stars — Uzziah and his friend Lureiss — running their very own lemonade stand. Seeing their entrepreneurial spirit in action was a proud moment for us. Not only did they showcase their creativity and hard work, but they also reminded us how events like these can inspire the next generation of innovators.

Networking with Purpose

The event provided a welcoming space to meet other local businesses, organisations, and creatives. Whether reconnecting with familiar faces or making new connections, it was a reminder of how collaboration is key to building stronger, more resilient communities.

As Haringey Council aptly puts it: “Some of the most inspiring work came from collaborations.” Events like this allow us all to come together, share ideas, and continue making a positive impact.
