Jade and the Beanstalk
A powerful hip hop and dance theatre production for schools, families and children.
Jade and the Beanstalk follows Jade, a neurodivergent child with a powerful imagination who lives with her hardworking father in a small, loving home. At the centre of their world is a treasured wooden chest filled with costumes, where Jade’s stories and adventures begin.
Having lost her mother at a young age, Jade uses imagination and play to make sense of her absence, bringing her to life as an unreachable hero—an astronaut, a firefighter and a ruler beneath the sea. Through hip hop, animation, rap and dance theatre, the show explores how storytelling becomes a vital way for Jade to understand grief and process emotions that are difficult to express in words.
At its heart, Jade and the Beanstalk is a celebration of how imagination and compassion can create a sense of safety, connection and belonging for children as they grow.
