Mercers Trust Funding Announcement: Supporting Young People Through BASE

Streetz Ahead is incredibly excited to announce that we have been awarded funding from the Mercers’ Charitable Foundation to deliver our BASE programme across schools in London. This is a major achievement for our organisation and an important opportunity to expand wellbeing and mental health support for young people over the next three years.

The project includes two years of funded delivery focused on school wellbeing and mental health support, allowing more schools to access our Body and Soul Education approach. Through this programme, we will be supporting 200 young people with weekly one-to-one mentoring sessions designed to build confidence, resilience, emotional wellbeing, and positive life outcomes.

The provision will also include staff mental health training, parent skills hubs, mental health assemblies and events, as well as dance clubs to encourage creativity, movement, and self-expression. As part of our sustainable delivery model, the third year of provision will become payable to ensure the long-term continuation and impact of the programme.

Streetz Ahead is proud to continue creating opportunities that support the emotional wellbeing of children and young people across London. We are passionate about helping schools provide safe, supportive, and empowering environments where young people can thrive.

If your school would benefit from this support, we would love to hear from you. Please get in touch to find out more about the BASE programme and how we can work together.

Supported by the Mercers’ Charitable Foundation.
