Jack Petchey Training Stay: Supporting Our New Intern

On 16th and 17th April 2026, Kayla and Liz attended a two-day residential training programme organised through the Jack Petchey Foundation to support Kayla in her new internship role at Streetz Ahead.

The training brought together young people, mentors, and organisations from across London, providing valuable opportunities for learning, development, and team building. One of the key sessions focused on Social Styles Theory, helping participants understand the different behaviours and communication styles people contribute within a working environment. The workshop encouraged self-awareness, teamwork, and positive ways of working together.

Throughout the two days, there were also a range of engaging team activities designed to build collaboration and confidence. One of the highlights included a fun and competitive challenge where teams raced to build a Lego racing car together, testing communication, creativity, and teamwork skills under pressure.

The experience was both inspiring and enjoyable, giving Kayla valuable tools and confidence as she begins her internship journey with Streetz Ahead. We are incredibly grateful to the Jack Petchey Foundation for continuing to invest in young people and creating opportunities that support growth, leadership, and future success.
