🎉 Streetz Fest 2025: 30 Years of Streetz Ahead, One Unforgettable Celebration

On Sunday 20th July 2025, Streetz Fest transformed Lordship Rec into a buzzing hub of music, dance, food and community joy – all in celebration of 30 years of Streetz Ahead.

Streetz Fest brought together families, young people, and community partners from across Haringey for a day of dance, music, arts, and wellbeing activities. The event celebrated the achievements of children and young people involved in Streetz Ahead’s programmes and strengthened relationships across the borough’s diverse communities.

 

The festival featured:

Live dance performances from our Dance Giants and BASE programmes, GOATS, and emerging local artists.

Interactive dance workshops, arts and crafts, and sports activities for all ages.

Wellbeing and motivational sessions led by Tottenham-born rapper and TEDx speaker Shocka.

Stalls from local businesses, charities, youth organisations and Haringey Council.

Classic family activities such as an arts and crafts tent, inflatables, stalls from local people and refreshments.

Community Involvement

Streetz Fest was co-created with young people, families, and local partners including Haringey Collaborative, Friends of Lordship Rec, and Broadwater Farm Community Centre. Over 300 local children and families took part in planning, performing, and volunteering on the day.

Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with 83% of stallholders “very satisfied” and 100% of surveyed attendees rating the event as good or excellent for atmosphere, inclusivity, and activities.

Outcomes and Impact

Strengthened community connections across diverse groups.

Increased participation in dance, wellbeing, and creative activities.

Supported local traders and grassroots organisations to showcase their work.

Promoted a sense of pride and belonging within the community.

We aim to build on this success and develop Streetz Fest into an annual celebration of local culture, creativity, and wellbeing.
