Streetz Ahead Founder on BBC Radio: What Is It Like to Be a BBC Winner?

Following Streetz Ahead’s incredible win at the BBC Make a Difference Active Award 2025, Elizabeth Lahav, Founder and CEO, joined Eddie Nestor on BBC Radio London to talk about what it feels like to be a winner and to reflect on the journey that led to this moment.

In the interview, Elizabeth shared the story of how she founded Streetz Ahead nearly 30 years ago, driven by a deep belief that dance can change lives. She spoke about the power of movement to build confidence, resilience, and wellbeing — particularly for children and young people who might otherwise feel unseen or disconnected.

Elizabeth expressed how proud she is of her team and the thousands of young people they reach each week, explaining that “it’s not just about dance — it’s about belonging, emotional health, and giving every child the chance to feel special.”

It was a heartfelt and inspiring conversation, celebrating Streetz Ahead’s mission, its people, and the joy of making a real difference through creativity and movement.

A wonderful moment for Elizabeth and the entire Streetz Ahead family.
